Finding international candidates for a technical recruitment agency

JAWS is a recruitment agency in the Eastern area of the Netherlands, which I have worked for in the past. JAWS essentially fills vacancies for technical companies in this region. JAWS’ mission is to be able to fill all vacancies for their clients, in any area. JAWS is known as one of the bigger players on the technical recruitment market in the Eastern region of the Netherlands. They are part of the Kaak Group, which is one of the biggest machinery producers in the industrial bakery sector.

Finding candidates that fit the vacancy, the company, and the Netherlands
In this job, I am responsible for acquisitioning companies and advising them on international recruitment. Along with the client, I produce and distribute vacancies and try to get the attention of international candidates that are interested in a job in the Netherlands. I also proactively search and contact candidates in the market. I help these candidates get through the recruitment process at the company, and help JAWS and the employer with the administrative processes when the candidate is hired. Lastly, I advice JAWS on the strategic and operational direction for JAWS International.
The goal is to make an extra label for JAWS: JAWS International, and to make it a separate entity from the “regular” JAWS labels. Furthermore, placing enough international candidates to make JAWS International a financially sustainable and profitable label, that makes money for JAWS, and helps JAWS’ clients to fill their vacancies.

tHE cHANGE WE ACHIEVED -
We are very close to having created a profitable, sustainable JAWS label that can consistently find, attract, and house international candidates that strongly helps JAWS‘ clients in the market. We have helped over 25 people find a job in the Netherlands, of which the vast majority (20+) is still in the Netherlands. With this, we help fill up the gaps in the technical job market in the Eastern region of the Netherlands.
