Helping the HR Advisor with the recruitment processes

Kaak Dough Technology in Nieuwkuijk is a company with a long history, that has been acquired by the Kaak Group in Terborg. Kaak Dough Technology engineers and produces machines for dough handling in industrial bakeries. 90% of the parts of these machines are produced internally at the company’s site in Nieuwkuijk. Kaak Dough Technology sells these machines and lines worldwide.

About the client - 

Challenges - 

Exploring what the current and future needs of the company are;
Defining what the recruitment processes look like right now;
Determining which vacancies need what kind of attention;
Getting to know internal stakeholders and setting up communication lines;
Working on the Employer Brand of the company;
Conducting and streamlining communication with external agencies;
Finding candidates by: Sourcing, Sponsoring and Recruitment Marketing;
Determining the market based on Recruitment Data.

I became responsible for approximately half the vacancies within Kaak Dough Technology. I have been busy determining what we are looking for, what makes Kaak Dough Technology a good employer, why people would want to work at us, and what the job market in the area of Nieuwkuijk looks like. I am currently working on a Recruitment Marketing project to fill the most difficult vacancies.

Kaak Dough Technology had over 20 open positions and worked with many different agencies to fill these positions. Despite all the help of these agencies, many vacancies did not attract enough candidates. Furthermore, after a name change in 2021, the amount of applications dropped for Kaak Dough Technoloy, and weakened their employer brand. Kaak Dough Technology was looking for internal Corporate Recruiters to help fill their vacancies and determine what is needed to improve the Employer brand.

tHE cHANGE WE ACHIEVED - 

This assignment is still ongoing. So far we see an increase of applicants and we have filled some urgent vacancies. We have increased the amount of channels via which candidates can find us, which increases the chance of filling our vacancies. At this moment, we are working on recruitment marketing, social media and sponsoring, to fill the vacancies that need extra attention. Besides this, I am involved in an employer branding initiative to make Kaak Dough Technology better known in the area.
